			Kathryn (Katie) Moore conducted an independent research project in the Schmale Lab in Spring, 2007. Her project 'Antimicrobial Effects of Contact Solutions: Waging the War on Fungal Eye Infections' was presented at a Undergraduate Research Conference at Virginia Tech in 2007. Katie will tell you to change to your contact solutions frequently; there are some fungi out there that can cause some nasty eye diseases.
